As an assignment for a Strategic Branding class, I researched and developed a refreshed brand identity for the existing organization, Energy for Opportunity.
Second Sun is meant to be a friendly take on an organization working to provide renewable energy to underserved communities in West Africa. By playing with the idea of a "fresh start", I settled on the name Second Sun. This name choice also informed the use of rising sun and dynamic shapes as graphic devices, appearing throughout the brand in various applications. The contemporary colour palette is positive and warm, while the tinted photographs add to the feeling of looking through rose-coloured glasses.
The final output for this project was a brand-guideline document which included a logo and colour system, updated brand voice, image style and use guidelines, and some comprehensive expressions of the brand.
